Aryan-Suhana impressed with Ra.One: SRK

Ever since he announced his super hero flick Ra.One, Shah Rukh Khan has maintained that he is making the film for his kids Aryan and Suhana who love superhero movies.

The Khan also said that with Ra.One he is taking the first step towards children's entertainment. No wonder then, it was highly important for SRK to know what his kids think about the film.

Though the film is not complete as yet, SRK has already shown whatever they have shot to his kids and is happy that Aryan and Suhana have given it their thumbs up. Talking about his kids' reaction to Ra.One, Shah Rukh said, "Aryan and Suhana have seen whatever we have shot and they say they love the superhero G.One in the film. Aryan is also impressed with the stunt scenes.

"He likes the train scene a lot and the one where I, as in the superhero, jumps from a height, flies down and lands on the ground. They say the stunt scenes are fabulous," said the Khan. For sure, King Khan is taking all the necessary steps to ensure that his ambitious project clicks with the audience.

Shah Rukh inspired by hits like Parasmani

Even though Shah Rukh Khan is going all out to promote his superhero flick Ra.One, he says that he was always aware that he's too old to play a superhero. "But I still gave it a shot because it has always been my dream to be a superhero," he says.
One might remember that SRK almost relived his childhood memories in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi when he dressed up like Superman. The actor also says that yesteryear Bollywood hits like Parasmani, Teesri Aankh and Alladin, Batman and Spiderman from the West have always inspired him.
SRK recalls, "When I was a kid I loved watching Mahipal's superhero act in Parasmani. I used to dress up like Superman, in my sister's tights and my red swimming trunks over them with a towel around my neck. Then I would stand next to a fan, with the towel flying, imagining myself as Superman."
Shah Rukh also confesses that he was actually keen on doing Krrish when he came to know that it was a superhero flick. But nevertheless, he was glad that Hrithik went on to do it. "He was fantastic and I feel he did it better than I could have done. Even Abhishek did a good job in Drona." Shah Rukh has no plans of deviating from the commercial genre of cinema any time soon. "Even Ra.One is a complete commercial venture. It's a complete family entertainer. I will not go away from commercial cinema because I believe in them," says the superstar.
We hope this turns out to be a "super" move for him.

'Swades 2' with SRK! Ashutosh Gowarikar plans to make a sequel

Ashutosh Gowarikar is all set to make a sequel of his critically acclaimed film 'Swades'. According to the sources, Ashutosh is in talks to retain Shah Rukh Khan, who played Mohan Bhargava a NRI in the prequel.
"I am planning to make 'Swades 2' but it's too early to talk about it," said Gowarikar who denied to divulge more details about the story.
The sources also informed that though SRK is the first choice of the filmmaker, there shall be change as far as actress in the film is concerned. Gayatri Joshi was introduced opposite Khan in 'Swades' but since she has quit the industry after marriage, a new replacement is being considered.
Sources added that the story board is like a second chapter where Mohan Bhargava, the protagonist will be on a journey to set up basic amenities for another part of rural India.
The 200 odd minutes film 'Swades' which had a message for every Indian who desired to make his name abroad when his soil needed him the most is all set to move forward with a sequel which will show the NRI trying his best for the upliftment of his fellow Indian citizens.

Coming Soon: SRK's Autobiography

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan who has been writing his autobiography for several years, now says it's almost ready for release. The book, titled Twenty Years In A Decade, will focus on the life of the 45-year-old actor, from 1991 to 2001.

"I have written a book and its complete now. I will ask my writer friends to edit it so that I can release it. I have been writing it over last ten years. It is titled Twenty Years In A Decade because I feel that in ten years I have lived a life of 20 years between 1991-2001. The book is about positivity, hope and it is also funny, just like me. I have written things about my life in the most fun way," Shah Rukh Khan said.

SRK made his acting debut in 1988 when he appeared in the television series, Fauji, and in 1989 did another TV soap called Circus. The actor made his Bollywood debut with Raj Kanwar's Deewana in 1992 alongside Rishi Kapoor and Divya Bharti. The film was a box office hit.

Shah Rukh in economy class!

Shah Rukh Khan recently flew economy class after a chartered flight he was to board from Ahmedabad to Mumbai, was grounded due to technical failure.

Most stars prefer to fly business class, some would even wait for another chartered flight to become available. Not SRK. And the only reason he did it was so he could get back in time to meet his kids.

Says a source close to Khan, "SRK left for the first leg of the Ra.One inter-city tour with his security and staff on Wednesday early morning. While he had chartered a flight for the entire two-day trip, the aircraft developed some snags after smoothly taking off from Mumbai, and completing the Chandigarh, Delhi and Ahmedabad run. The plane was to take off at 9 pm but initially got delayed because of the rains in Mumbai. Around 11 pm, the pilot informed the star that the plane flaps (used to increase lift which allows one to land or take off at slower speeds) weren't functioning properly and that the engineer would arrive only at 11.30 pm."

The only flights available after that were at 11.15 pm and then at 12.15 am. The alternative was to stay back at Ahmedabad and board his chartered flight the next morning or hang around for another couple of hours till the plane was repaired. Shah Rukh didn't want to wait any longer as he wanted to return before his children woke up to go to school. The actor booked tickets for himself and his entourage in the economy class of a regular passenger flight as no business class tickets were available.

"The second flight at 12.15 am had business class seats but SRK didn't want to hang aorund for another hour more. It was a different experience for him as children and their parents kept asking for pictures and his autographs and refused to leave him for a second. He enjoyed it all," the informer adds.
