Katrina Kaif doesn't believe in making her face look like a pancake

Katrina Kaif is considered one of the most beautiful actresses in Bollywood. But, the beauty doesn't believe in making her face look like a pancake. She likes keeping it simple and natural without any make up adding to her look."I prefer staying away from makeup, I don't like it. It is just because of the shoots and events that I have to use makeup as it is a part of an actress' profession. When at home I keep it natural. I feel good only when I'm away from worries and surrounded by people who love me," says Katrina. Kat is enjoying all the success. "I shall treasure my success and show it off to my grandchildren," says the ecstatic actress.

She is considered one of the most beautiful women in Bollywood, but surprisingly no one has ever written any romantic poems for Katrina Kaif. So Kat's made it known that she wants a poem written for her, and she's even zeroed in on the man for the job.

"Nobody has ever written a poem for me. But if someone actually writes a poem for me, I think that will be very romantic," she said at the launch of Pritish Nandy's book of love poems 'Tonight, This Savage Rite'.

And it's not one of B'wood's hot hunks that Katrina has in mind to write her a poem. The 26-year-old surprised everyone when she said: "I want Gulzar saab to write poems for me."

Gulzar, 74, who has written many songs for Hindi films and has many poetry books to his credit, was present at the event and said: "Inshallah, I would write a poem for Katrina for sure."

And what did the star have to say about love itself? "Even though love is known to cause pain, disappointment, disillusionment, still I don't want to be pessimistic about love. I would rather want to have a positive approach to love. I believe that there can be a happy ending, because love is the most beautiful thing in the world."

Colonel Gaddafi is 'emphatic' he will not leave Libya, despite Nato airstrikes and concern about his 'personal safety', South Africa's President Jacob Zuma said after returning from a peace mission to the country.

Despite claims that Mr Zuma might seek to negotiate an exit strategy, his statement focused on a demand for agreed ceasefire throughout Nato.

"(Col Gaddafi) expressed his anger at the Nato bombings, which have claimed the lives of his son and grandchildren and continue to cause a destruction of property and disruption of life," the statement said.

"He emphasised that he was not prepared to leave his country, despite the difficulties."

Libyan government spokesman Moussa Ibrahim said on that the meeting did not discuss 'exit strategies'.

Mr Zuma "never discussed any exit strategies as they have been described in the media," said Moussa Ibrahim, government spokeman at a news conference on Tuesday night.

Mr Zuma became the first outsider to see Col Gaddafi in person since May 11, meeting him in his home and seeing the bombed building where the regime says his son Saif al-Arab and three grandchildren were killed in April.
In state television pictures, Col Gaddafi seemed well and, contrary to some rumours, uninjured by the bombing raids.
Nato gave special permission to Mr Zuma to fly into Tripoli, along with a heavily armed support group, to present an African Union "road map" for peace. But his efforts were immediately dismissed by the rebels, who have demanded that Col Gaddafi step down before any negotiations take place.
Despite denials that South Africa was working on an exit strategy for Col Gaddafi, it was reported that senior Libyan officials had engaged the services of a local law firm to defend him should he be brought before the International Criminal Court at The Hague.
Langa Attorneys is alleged to have negotiated a "mandate agreement" to protect the Libyan leader's interests three weeks ago.
Meanwhile, residents of an east Tripoli suburb confirmed yesterday that Monday had seen the largest anti-regime protest in the capital since the beginning of March.
One resident of the suburb, Souq al-Juma'a, said that 1,000 people had gathered at the funeral of two men killed in a shoot-out with police at a check-point the day before. Footage posted to Youtube showed a crowd chanting anti-Gaddafi slogans.
He said there were regular shootings in the night. "Everyone in Souq al-Juma'a is against Gaddafi," he said. "People paint slogans on the walls but they get painted over."

Will and Kate’s visit a royal pain for some Quebecers

The Quebec government is demanding an apology from a legislator who compared the Royal Family to parasites and circus performers.

MONTREAL—With the feel-good factor for William and Kate soaring since their fairy-tale wedding, their royal highnesses’ sojourn to Quebec next month risks dulling the afterglow.
Always the province with the least interest in the Royal Family, one might have thought the couple’s youthful energy would lead to more enthusiasm here.
Not if Quebec’s most colourful politician is any indication. On Tuesday Amir Khadir, an ultra-left parliamentarian, likened the royals to parasites and circus freaks.
And at least one extremist separatist group has promised to protest their presence.
Criticizing the fact that Quebec will be paying for part of their visit, Khadir said he’s against the monarchy. “It’s a parasitic system that we inherited from ancient times,” he declared.
He was equally unimpressed by the tourist dollars the visit could bring in.
“If (they’re) a tourist attraction, I would like (them) to know that we’re bringing them here a bit like we do the travelling circus,” said Khadir, the sole representative of the pro-independence Québec solidaire party.
Khadir, who has in the past thrown shoes at an effigy of George W. Bush and protested a small boutique for selling Israeli-made shoes, also drew parallels between the visit and carnival sideshows from the past that paraded characters with “miniature heads” and the like.
Politicians from the governing Liberals and the right-wing Action démocratique du Québec condemned Khadir. Deputy premier Nathalie Normandeau said such a “base attack” demonstrates a “lack of manners and a lack of respect for citizens of Quebec.”
Robert Finch, dominion chairman of the Monarchist League of Canada said the remarks reflect “badly on Mr. Khadir and his party and frankly on the province.”
He said the attack will soon be picked up by international media, and “it comes across as, ‘Are all Quebecers this rude and unwelcoming?’ We know that’s not the case but perception is reality. It does the province a disservice.”
The couple will begin their Canadian visit in Ottawa for Canada Day, with Montreal following on July 2 and Quebec City on July 3. There will also be stops in Charlottetown, Summerside, P.E.I., Yellowknife, N.W.T., and Calgary.
Finch expects that, like elsewhere, the young and attractive Duke and Duchess of Cornwall have reignited interest in the royals in Quebec. “There’s a novelty factor that Prince William and Kate have that other members of the Royal Family don’t have,” he said.
A visit by Queen Elizabeth in 1964 led to raucous protests and hundreds of arrests. In 2009, separatist protesters delayed a visit by Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, to a Montreal armoury.
The Réseau de Résistance du Québecois, a hardline separatist group, says it’s planning a peaceful protest in Quebec City in order to make the couple’s visit as “disagreeable as possible.”
The Réseau was the most vocal group criticizing a planned 2009 reenactment of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham. Organizers cancelled the reenactment amid fears of violence after threats from militant separatists.
